We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Video Architect to lead the design and development of advanced live streaming solutions for us. As a Video Architect, you will be responsible for creating scalable, high-performance video & audio platforms and ensuring seamless integration with various business systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, and client stakeholders, to deliver end-to-end video solutions that meet customer requirements and business objectives.
Architecting Video Solutions: Design and develop robust, scalable, and secure video delivery systems, including live streaming, video-on-demand (VoD), content delivery networks (CDN), and encoding/decoding pipelines.
Technology Leadership: Provide technical leadership and guidance on best practices for video technology, including video compression standards, codecs, protocols (HLS, DASH), and emerging trends such as Ultra HD and VR/AR video.
System Integration: Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate video solutions with existing systems, platforms, and third-party APIs, ensuring a smooth user experience and high-quality video delivery.
Project Management: Lead the technical architecture of video projects from conception to deployment, ensuring deadlines are met, and systems are built with scalability, reliability, and security in mind.
Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with product managers, sales, and customers to understand business requirements and translate them into innovative video solutions that meet market needs.
Performance Optimization: Continuously monitor and optimize video delivery systems for performance, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness, implementing solutions for scaling video platforms.
Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, system diagrams, and architecture blueprints to guide development teams and ensure clarity for stakeholders.
Innovation and Research: Stay ahead of industry trends in video technology, explore new tools and solutions, and recommend innovative approaches to improve existing platforms.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience (5+ years) as a Solution Architect, Technical Lead, or similar role, with a focus on video technologies and platforms.
Strong knowledge of video codecs (H.Experience with video processing tools, cloud-based video platforms (AWS Elemental, Azure Media Services), and content management systems (CMS).
Hands-on experience with video compression, encoding, and transcoding techniques.
Proficiency in software development languages such as Python, Java, or C++ is a plus.
Familiarity with containerisation and microservices architecture (Docker, Kubernetes) is a bonus.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.
Experience in OTT (Over-the-Top) video services, broadcast media, or video production environments.
Familiarity with AI/ML techniques in video processing, including real-time analytics, metadata extraction, and automated video enhancement.
Knowledge of VR/AR video technologies and interactive media experiences.
Understanding of video security protocols, watermarking, and anti-piracy technologies.
