About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Private Equity Solutions Architect to join our team at AWS EMEA SARL (UK Branch) - F93. As a Private Equity Solutions Architect, you will work directly with Private Equity firms and their portfolio companies to design technology solutions that solve specific business challenges or accelerate business initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Scoping and Understanding Specific Use Cases: You will scope and understand specific use cases to design appropriate AWS-based technical solutions, including integrations with third-party solutions.
  • Technical Relationship Management: You will own the technical relationship with PE firms and the C-suite of portfolio companies, operating as their trusted advisor.
  • Customer Success: You will serve as a key technical member of the AWS PE team to help ensure customer success in architecting, building, migrating, or optimizing applications and services on the AWS platform.
  • Rapport Building: You will build rapport with executives at both PE firms and their portfolio companies, leveraging your understanding of enterprise architecture, merger and acquisitions, migration, and cost optimization of IT infrastructure and other key technologies.
  • Technical Credibility: You will establish technical credibility with PE firms and their portfolio companies to lead discussions with CTOs, CIOs, Chief Architects, Senior Developers, etc. from both customer and partners across the PE segment.
  • Cost Optimization Strategies: You will provide technical and architectural guidance to PE firms and their portfolio companies, helping develop cost optimization strategies by deploying the right architecture given their budget constraints.
  • Technical Evangelism: You will evangelize and educate key stakeholders within the Private Equity ecosystem about AWS technologies.
  • Product Roadmap Influence: You will influence AWS's roadmap of new features and services based on customer feedback.
  • Best Practices and Content Creation: You will create and capture best practices, technical content, and new reference architectures (e.g., white papers, code samples, blog posts).
  • Team Growth: You will contribute to the growth of the Solutions Architecture organization by hiring, coaching, and mentoring others.

Requirements
  • Experience working in (or with) Private Equity firms, Hedge Funds, or Investment Banking, specifically defining technology strategy or IT implementations/integrations related to Mergers and Acquisitions.
  • Experience working directly with customers (internal or external) in either technical presales, postsales, consulting, or customer support function.
  • 7+ years of experience as a technical leader architecting, building, consulting, and/or operating large-scale distributed applications and infrastructure.
  • Willingness to travel to customer locations as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a customer-facing role interacting with senior-level stakeholders, including C-suite.
  • Working knowledge of cloud-native architectures and experience architecting, developing, deploying, and/or operating IT applications or infrastructure on AWS services (or other related cloud computing technologies).
  • Experience with Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, Big Data, or Analytics.
  • Broad technical knowledge of enterprise IT, including overall enterprise architecture, application development, database systems, server and desktop virtualization, storage, data center operations, networking, security, integrating enterprise applications, etc.
  • Working knowledge in a technology domain, distributed web or mobile applications, DevOps, serverless, enterprise workloads (SAP, VMware, Windows, etc.), high-performance databases (SQL and/or NoSQL), complex networking implementations, highly secured workloads, etc.
  • Experience presenting in one-to-many public forums.
