Client Associate Finance Director
Global Client Associate Finance Director (GCAFD)
Group: Global Client Commercial team
Reports to: Global Client Finance Director (GCFD)
Location: Rose Court, London
Working as part of the Global Commercial and Finance team, you will support the GCFD (Global Client Finance Director) and Managing Partner responsible for the overall Client relationship through reporting, financial and commercial analysis and commercial operations. You will manage juniors within the team and support their development through on the job training and structured training sessions.
All of our Global Clients are subject to audit by external audit firms responsible for providing our clients the assurance that we comply with our contractual obligations. This record has been achieved by working closely with both our clients, our local agency finance teams and the external audit teams. Within this role, the expectation is to develop the commercial agenda on behalf of the Agency as the primary contact between Mindshare and the client commercial and procurement teams and maintain relationships with global clients and client partners in the business. To be confirmed across Automotive, CPG and Retail.
Work with Client Partner in preparation and presentation of financial and commercial reports in face-to-face client meetings. Utilising the team of managers and analysts to provide the details required for financial commercial reports.
Provide commercial leadership on new business pitches
Partner with the global compliance and audit lead on client finance audits
Produce and maintain contract summaries and other internal compliance reports for your portfolio of clients. Lead and engage in ad hoc project work.
Accountable for one key area of internal reporting work, being the point of contact for Senior stakeholders working with the finance managers to deliver reporting on time.
Develop a good understanding of invoicing process including taxes, fees, levies, centralisation.
Raise the profile of yourself and the wider global commercial finance team
Delegate and validate tasks through to junior analysts from GCFD
Commercial outlook:
Ability to process and, most of all, interpret financial data in support of commercial decisions.
Very strong interpersonal skills, demonstrating on daily basis the ability to succinctly communicate with finance and non-finance people alike and to accommodate language and cultural differences.
Willingness and ability to involve others and use informal/virtual teams to complete tasks.
Highly self-motivated, flexible and possess a high level of initiative. Understanding of SOX obligations, Accounting Standards and Business Control Environments.
Good all-round IT skills for analysing and presenting information- must be proficient in excel.
Build a partnership with the relevant Client Leads and be involved in all commercial conversations
