Our Client is a UK-based insurance intermediary with offices in Newcastle upon Tyne who have been providing their customers with value and excellent customer service since 2006, and they are looking for a Finance Apprentice to join their team
You will be on a starting salary of £18,000 per year increasing to £19,000 after one year, receiving £500 per exam/milestone.
This role is a great starting point for anyone interested in building a career in finance. It offers a comprehensive introduction to the field, with the chance to gain experience in different areas of finance within a supportive environment. The role emphasises personal growth, initiative, and teamwork, which are crucial for success in finance. Full training will be provided, including finance systems training and with the offering of study support and funding (AAT Level).

What you’ll be doing:
As a Finance Apprentice, you will be based within the Finance Team, your tasks will be varied during your placement. You will be able to rotate within different areas and gain experience in the roles they play within the organisation, such as being one of the team members that verify company expenses, bank deposits and bank payments or even providing assistance in developing systems and procedures appropriate to the growth of the business and drive through efficiencies.
Working within their policies you will be encouraged to use your initiative, share your ideas, and feel comfortable to make decisions. This role is very much about the person and the can-do attitude.
We are looking for:
The manager and their team will help you learn the systems and processes involved in working in a busy finance team therefore no prior finance experience is required. We are looking for a true team player who is keen to learn and possess the following skills;
- Completed A Levels or an equivalent GCSE Level in Maths and English level 6 or above would be preferable.
- A qualification in Business Studies would be advantageous
- Good numeracy skills and a passion for numbers
- Some familiarity with Excel and looking to expand their knowledge
- Drive and are excited to learn new skills
- Good communication skills and can work with a team and communicate effectively with diverse groups of people
