Financial Controller

This global manufacturing business is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to support the Finance team.
Your new role:
Reporting to the Finance Manager, the role will involve supporting with the preparation of the financial statements, management accounts, and offering support to other members of the Department. The key responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:
Key Responsibilities:- Financial Statement Preparation: Assist in the preparation of the financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Management Account Support: Provide support with the preparation of the monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to support business decisions.
- Capex and Vendor Tooling Spend Control: Assist in the control and analysis of capital expenditure and vendor tooling spend.
- Tax and VAT Support: Support with the preparation of the VAT return and Making Tax Digital.
- Statutory Accounts and Disclosure Notes: Prepare statutory accounts and disclosure notes.
- Payroll and Bank Payments: Approve payroll and ad hoc bank payments.
- HMRC Imports and Exports: Serve as the finance point of contact for HMRC imports and exports documentation/controls.
- Accountancy Qualification: Hold a relevant accountancy qualification.
- Finance Experience: Excellent numeracy skills with proven finance experience.
- Manufacturing or Automotive Experience: Manufacturing or automotive experience is desirable.
- People Management Skills: Strong people management skills.
- Attention to Detail: Attention to detail with the ability to analyse data and present information to various levels.
- Computer Literacy: Computer literate, with advanced Excel skills a must.
