Accounts Payable Manager with Hybrid Working

Managing and mentoring the regional Accounts Payable teams in EMEA, APAC and the US. Running team meetings, sharing best practices and conducting weekly 121 meetings with these reports.
Having oversight of regional accounts payable and act as the approver of local deviations to globally set processes and controls. Working to improve processes within the newly implemented ERP system (Workday) and Concur (for expenses processing)
Owning supplier master data and other elements of data relating to Accounts Payable. Ensuring that there are strong rules around the maintenance of data and that systems transitions have appropriate controls around the transfer of data
Working to improve and implement SLAs, KPIs and Reverse SLA's to measure the performance productivity and backlogs relating to the Accounts payable function
Monitoring backlogs in Accounts Payable and taking corrective action where necessary
Acting as a point of escalation for accounts payable processing issues
Constantly identifying and implementing improvements in the function
Supporting the GFC/CFO with the decision-making process and any ad hoc requests
What you'll do

What We Look For
Considerable experience in operational finance, especially relating to accounts payable, accounting and operational treasury (bank reconciliation and payment processing)
Technically strong with the ability to understand tax and accounting issues in so far as they relate to accounts payable. Experience of processing VAT returns and knowledge of VAT is particularly relevant to this role
Experience managing relatively autonomous teams in different time-zones and leading them through change processes.
Systems implementation and project management competencies are very desirable as are the ability to map and design business processes
Excellent excel skills and experience with relevant ERP systems; experience with Workday is a plus
The drive and resilience to deliver excellent service amidst tight timelines and changing circumstances
Growth mindset: the ability to develop in your role over time and view setbacks as learning opportunities
Requirements
A Bachelor's degree, with strong academic credentials and noteworthy extracurricular leadership
Fluency in English is essential. Fluency in a relevant foreign language is a plus
