Accounts Payable Specialist

* This is a fixed term contract for 9 months.
* £Woking GU21 4LL / Hybrid Working
This is a UK based contract and as such, you are required to have the Right to Work in the UK. As an experienced finance professional with a background in a busy accounts payable function, it is not every day you get the opportunity to save the planet. That is the role we can offer you as Accounts Payable Specialist with WWF UK.
This is where your finance skills come in.
As Accounts Payable Specialist, you will review transactions raised on our procurement system to ensure they are correctly coded and are supported by relevant documentation. You will also prepare payment runs, process foreign payments and help with credit card and expense approvals . In addition, you will enjoy the opportunity to develop your skills supporting other work of the Accounts payable Manager with some ad hoc tasks with new systems being implemented.
You will have experience gained within an Accounts Payable function using a purchase to pay system. Used to matching complex invoices to purchase orders, you will be familiar with reconciling supplier accounts. You will be a user of Excel too. Experience of foreign currency payment processing and of using the Sun Accounting system would be an advantage.
