It is an exciting time to be joining Dynex as we are in a significant period of growth with exciting projects ahead of us, which you can be part of. We are looking for an Electrical Engineer to join our growing team in Lincoln.
THE OPPORTUNITY
As part of the Power Assemblies team, reporting to Engineering Manager, this role will provide electrical expertise on Power Assemblies projects. This role will be responsible for creating the tools and providing support and guidance to the Design / Production teams in order to build and complete the projects in line with the customer requirements and specifications.
The roles will include but not limited to:

  • Creating Electrical schematics inclusive of cable schedules/calculations/single-line diagrams/block diagrams / I/O lists
  • Creating BOMs/engineering documentation.
  • Assist the power electronics team members with integration of electrical design.
  • Undertake and ensure design data/simulations/calculations are captured and stored (technical design file).
  • Creation & compilation of operation & maintenance manuals.
  • Creation & performing of RAMS/FMEAs/HAZIDs/HAZOPs/Final inspections/validation of electrical designs
  • Systems Integration
  • Assisting in testing products/equipment.
  • Assist with liaising with production on builds.
  • Assist with liaising with testing activities.
  • Assisting in project management (small scale).
WORKING HOURS
The working hours for this position are as follows:
Monday - Thursday: 08.30am - 4.30pm (30 minute break)
Friday: 08.30am - 2.00pm (No break)
(Total: 35.5hrs)

ABOUT YOU
To be considered for this role, we are looking for an individual with the following knowledge & experience:

  • Academically qualified - HNC Electrical and/or Electronic or above.
  • Circa 10 years experience working within an Electrical Engineering position.
  • Sound foundation and knowledge of Power Electronics would be advantageous.
  • Familiar with mechanical assembly of devices and copper busbar systems.
  • Knowledge of panel assembly/fabrication techniques.
  • Previous knowledge of design/manufacturing processes & control panels.
  • Good knowledge of electrical standards/compliance
  • Full UK clean driving license (travel may be required on an ad hoc basis).
