Job Description:

As a Site Manager, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations and construction activities on our high-end residential sites in London. You will work closely with the Project Manager and various stakeholders to ensure that projects are executed efficiently, meet quality standards, adhere to safety regulations, and are completed within budget and on schedule. Your strong leadership and technical expertise will be essential in successfully delivering our prestigious projects.

Responsibilities:

Site Operations Management

  • Oversee all on-site construction activities, ensuring compliance with project plans, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Coordinate and manage subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to optimize productivity and maintain project schedules.
  • Monitor site progress, proactively identify and resolve any issues or bottlenecks that may impact project timelines.

Health and Safety

  • Implement and enforce health and safety policies and procedures on the construction site, ensuring compliance with regulations and industry best practices.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards, maintaining a safe working environment for all personnel.

Team Leadership

  • Provide leadership and guidance to on-site teams, including subcontractors and direct labor, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment.
  • Assign tasks, manage workloads, and ensure efficient resource allocation to meet project requirements.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to communicate project goals, progress, and expectations.

Quality Assurance

  • Ensure construction activities adhere to established quality standards, addressing any deficiencies or non-compliance promptly.
  • Conduct regular inspections to assess workmanship and compliance with architectural and engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Implement quality control measures to maintain the highest level of craftsmanship and finishes.

Communication and Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for on-site issues, addressing and resolving any concerns raised by stakeholders, including clients, architects, and consultants.
  • Maintain regular communication with the Project Manager, providing updates on site progress, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager to prepare and present progress reports to senior management.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Site Manager in the high-end residential construction sector, preferably in London.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, techniques, and materials, with a focus on delivering exceptional quality finishes.
  • Solid understanding of health and safety regulations and best practices in the construction industry.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire on-site teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with the capacity to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Relevant certifications in construction management or health and safety are desirable.
