Internship Length 3 months minimum - may be extended or promoted to studio manager
> Management of consignment agreements and all other paperwork relating to exhibitions and related events. > Development of exhibition budgets, expense monitoring. Invoices and book keeping. > Development and dissemination of all materials for exhibitions and related events . > Responsible for studio correspondence . > Responsible for all artwork, including , insuring, supervising packing and handling, and shipping > Maintenance of art work inventory. > Other duties as assigned.
What will the internship offer the student and what will they learn while they are with you? E.g. skills they could learn/develop and experience they could gain.This role would be ideal for someone serious about a future career in arts management.
It is an administrative role overseeing production and coordinating exhibitions. Possibility of travel. Minimum Requirements: * Substantial experience (with references) in a professional role in the arts or creative industry. * Bachelor of Arts Degree , preferably in Arts management, Art History, Museum Studies etc. • Understanding of curatorial procedures. * Excellent project management skills * High level of written and oral communication skills * Detail oriented with special attention to accuracy * Ability to be flexible, communicative, and work collaboratively in a team environment. * Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office suite. * Familiarity with social media tools and digital image management. * Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evening and weekend assignments *
Additional languages are a bonus. In particular French, Spanish & Italian.
