Housing Lawyer – London – Competitive Hourly Rate – Hybrid Working

Position: Housing Lawyer

Organisation: London based Local Authority

Duration: 3-month ongoing contract

Working Pattern: Full time

Working Arrangement: Hybrid working- once a week office attendance

Hourly Rate: Competitive hourly rate (DOE)

Venn Group’s legal team are working with areputable Local Authority based in London in their search for an Housing Lawyer to join their teamon a locum basis.

The ideal candidate for this role will be either a Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Fellow of CILEx who possesses a strong knowledge and experience of Housing Litigation. Local Government experience is preferable but not essential for this role provided there is significant relevant Housing Litigation experience .

Duties shall include:

1- Under supervision, to undertake and manage a caseload of legal work in the area of Housing & Litigation Law and progress to conclusion

2- Carry out legal research and provide advice, and negotiate and agree, draft, prepare and process legal agreements and documents, and all other necessary and appropriate documentation associated with matters in the area of Housing & Litigation Law

3- Prepare, negotiate, draft and agree routine legal documentation and forms, and all documentation associated with the legal process, including briefs, claim forms, pleadings, affidavits and witness statements

4- Undertaking advocacy such as directions appointments and applications for order by consent, case management discussions and hearings appropriate to experience
