TeacherActive are seeking a Business Manager for a successful primary school near Alfreton, Derbyshire. You do not need to have specific School experience, but it would be advantageous. We are looking for candidates who are highly motivated with a friendly yet professional telephone manner. This position are an excellent opportunity to get experience working within a School if you haven't already and will give you the skills to move into a SIMS Administrator post. This will be a tempt ot perm hire contract. Work will be flexible between the hours of 8:00 a.m. & 4:00 p.m. There will be full time and part time positions available throughout the School year which run for a variety amount of time. As a Business Manager your day-to-day responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Welcoming students, guests and parents into the school
  • Ensuring safeguarding processes are followed
  • Answering telephone calls and filtering as necessary
  • Advise the headteacher and governors on financial policy
  • Develop the school's marketing and communications strategy
  • Letters to parents
  • Order goods and services and pay suppliers and contractors
  • Keep accounts up to date for inspection
  • Oversee the maintenance of school buildings

  • Outgoing and have a friendly personality
