Change Partner – Organisational
Our Transformation teams are right at the heart of what we do. Primark has an updated business strategy called “Primark 2030 – The Next Chapter” with significant financial ambition over the next 6 years to double our revenue through LFL and space, increase our operating profit margin and reduce our cost as a % of sales. Whilst doing this we need to continue to focus on our colleagues, customers, the planet and evolving regulatory landscape. Given the breadth of our business and scale of our transformation, we will organise our Transformation team around three domains:- Channels focus on end-to-end customer journey, engage to sell, to delight and surprise customers with inventive experiences and a power brand.
- Commercials deliver the full lifecycle of order to receipt/ concept to store and the capability to support Primark growth ambitions.
- Enterprise teams enable the business to scale operations efficiently while reinforcing Primark DNA through leading colleague experiences and ESG programmes.

In your role, you’ll collaborate with different people across a range of skillsets. Here’s a flavour of your day-to-day:
- Support the development and implementation of a comprehensive transformation strategy for the respective domain you are partnered with.
- Support the Change Leads in the preparation and delivery of the Change Pipeline planning process for your domain
- Work in conjunction with strategic planning functions (Portfolio Team, plus functional planning teams e.g. Technology Portfolio and Retail Ops) to advise on impact of multiple projects across the colleagues and business
- Provide guidance to the programme change team on the strategies directive of the project
- Review Change strategic plan and materials to ensure the approach aligns with the business direction and other initiatives.
- Embrace our culture of change across Primark using data, models, frameworks, tools and innovative techniques.
- Contribute to definition and evolution of Primark’s change management methodology and toolkit
- Working with business stakeholders, create and refine change management strategies aligned to strategic transformation priorities, their communities (i.e., functions in their domain) and business needs
- Working with the Change Lead and business stakeholders to create and refine change management approaches and plans aligned to key projects and business needs.
- Prepare summaries and analyse specific challenges, change context, climate and capacity to implement and adopt new ways of working.
- Induct, on board and maintain relationships with change contractors & consultants to apply our Primark methodology and toolkit to lead change management activities across the business
- Partner collaboratively with P&C (and others) to ensure alignment across communications, operational training and delivery

- To be successful in this role candidates must possess credible understanding of end-to-end business process in the area they will partner with.
- For this role, understanding the areas that interact directly and indirectly with our customers is essential. Experience of working within one or more of the functional areas in the domain is a distinct advantage and will ensure that the successful candidate approaches the role already understanding the intricacies and hand-offs from function to the next.
- Candidates must also have demonstrable experience of supported the delivery of significant business transformations within these areas covering the entire transformation process from the shaping of the roadmap through to benefits realisation.
- For the Organisational role, this expertise must include a deep knowledge of the following business functions: Operating models, strategic and structural planning, cultural and mindset shifts
- Key business capabilities include; change programmes, values and behaviours, strategy execution, goal setting and performance management, organisational development, leadership influencing,
- As this is a partnering role, you must be currently recognised internally or externally as a person that can influence without authority and engage with leaders at all levels of the organisation.
