Our team of experienced professionals provides expert design, construction, and garden maintenance services, ensuring exceptional quality and customer satisfaction.
Role Description
This is a full-time Landscaping Project Manager role at Scott Taylor Garden Design Ltd. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of various garden design and build projects. You will collaborate with clients, design teams, and contractors to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This is a hybrid role meaning you will work on site and in the garden design studio in Oxted, with the majority of the work being located in Oxted, but there is possible flexibility for some remote work.
You must be based and living in the UK and close to our garden design studio. You will be based in Oxted, Surrey and the close surrounding areas.
You will need the use of your own vehicle and have a clean, valid license. You will receive mileage allowance for any travel from the studio to the different garden build sites.
After the successfully completing the initial probation period you will have access to the companies pool car for site visits.
You will be provided with your own laptop and work phone.
The Key responsibilities
- To liaise effectively with our team, any contractors and subcontractors
- To work within quoted estimates and to supervise the timely purchase of resources
- To ensure Risk Assessment & Method Statements are placed on time & signed by all stake holders
- To add Risk Assessment to job packs
- To ensure quality management for our projects
- Every job will need a prestart site survey which will be added to job packs
- Updating the CD on ongoing progress in a weekly meeting
- Client point contact throughout the build
- To achieve sign off with client & issue warranty packages
- To up sell clients on maintenance packages
- Work with OM to keep calendar updated
- Keep your own calendar updated with your own appointments
- Keep Monday.com updated with job progress daily
- To create processes to streamline your role
- Organise current on site teams schedules so they all the info of where they should be regarding progress each week
- Assist onsite where needed
Key Skills & Requirements
- Experience within the domestic landscaping
- Experience of power tools & their use
- Strong IT skills, particularly in the use of excel, word and Microsoft project
- A strong knowledge & understanding on Sketchup
- Use of spreadsheets for reporting
- Proven track record in delivering results
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills including well-structured delivery of meetings
- Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
- A high degree of numeracy & attention to detail
- Strong organisational skills, managing multiple tasks within tight deadlines whilst maintaining the highest level of accuracy
- Self-motivated & committed with a proactive attitude to change
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
- Familiarity with local zoning and building codes.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks.
- Experience in reading detailed construction drawings, budgets, and timelines.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- You must have extensive construction knowledge and understating of building regulations
Qualifications
- Project Management and Logistics Management skills
- Experience in expediting and inspection
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Knowledge of horticulture and garden design is preferred
- Proficiency in project management software and tools
- Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Engineering, or a related field
