Chief Legal & Compliance Director
WFH: 3 Days office-based
This is a newly created appointment to support the legal and compliance function of a busy privately owned investment manager. The ideal candidate will be an Analyst with experience in legal administration and compliance procedures who is interested in working in a broad dynamic role. Assist with drafting and reviewing legal documents such as contracts, memorandums and agreements, liaising with various third parties and senior management
Work across all departments, ensuring compliance with applicable processes and regulations issued by regulatory bodies and best practices
Work with the Head of Legal & Compliance to ensure policies and procedures are updated in line with current legislation and best practice
Responsibility for Companies Act compliance, including Companies House filings as well as overseeing overseas statutory and regulatory compliance and filings as appropriate
Support the maintenance of Personal Holdings data and files
Assist team in drafting and submitting regulatory filings
Previous experience in an investment management firm ideally, or experience within a financial service or a law firm covering a wide variety of duties
Previous experience supporting compliance is essential for this role
Knowledge and awareness of laws, regulations, and legal procedures within a small asset management firm
Demonstrated skills in legal research and document drafting
