This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual with a proven track record in operations management. Working closely with the Business Manager and Practice Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the effective and efficient functioning of primary care services within our organization. You will oversee the day-to-day operations of primary care facilities, ensuring that they run smoothly and meet the needs of patients, staff, and stakeholders. Contributing to the Practice's strategy and planning
Resolving day to day operational issues and managing performance
Situated in the beautiful spa town of Leaming ton Spa, Clarendon Lodge Medical Practice is a long established training practice with over 14,000 patients. This role forms part of our Management Team who are central to the running of the practice and the delivery of our key perforamcen indicators and objectives.
Business Manager andPractice Manager
Reception Team Manager, NursingTeam Manager and Administration Supervisor
Your duties include managing staff and staff schedules, ensuringsufficient resources to meet demand and provide a high quality service, and ensuringcompliance with healthcare regulations. You will streamline workflows,implement quality improvement initiatives, and work within budgets tooptimize patient care delivery. Additionally,you'll oversee the implementation of technology solutions to improveoperational efficiency and patient experience. Overall, the role is vital inmaintaining the smooth operation of the practice and facilitating thedelivery of high-quality patient care.
Contributingto the management, planning and leadership of the practice
Initiatingand contributing to the setting and maintaining of practice aims, objectives,policies and targets and to their implementation
Ensuringstaffing levels are sufficient to deliver a quality service
Auditingperformance to ensure key performance indicators are met
Managingallocated sections of the Quality and Outcomes Framework (QOF), eg Quality Indicators
Managing theclinical system ensuring IT security and IG compliance at all times
Ensuring theeffective use of EMIS, eRS, EPS, Docman, AccurRx, Rapid Health and any otherIT software
Assisting thePractice Manager in maintaining the Safeguarding database, providing adviceto staff and briefing the team at the relevant meeting as required
Identifyingtrends and devising solutions to reduce risk and repeated occurrences ofsignificant events and near misses
Ensuredevelopment and implementation of the practice audit programme
Provide reportson practice performance when required
Implement thecomplaints process ensuring complaints are managed as per the PracticeComplaints Procedure, escalating where necessary and reporting data toICB/NHSE where required
Overseeing stafftraining ensuring all mandatory training is completed
Administrationof the NHS Pension Scheme
Preparingreports from the accounts system
Legal
Ensure thepractice is compliant with all policies
Implementsystems to unsure compliance with CQC regulations and standards
Ensure datareturns are made in a timely manner eg, DSTP, Complaints, Workforce
Dailyad hoc support for the Partners, Business Manager and Practice Manager
To ensure that all data systems andprocedures remain confidential and comply with:
NHSand Community Care Act 1990 and the regulations relating to Terms of Serviceunder the Act.
GCSE grade A to C in English and Maths
Skills level in Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint to at least intermediate level
Knowledge of the key performance indicators within primary care
Experience of managing teams and performance
Experience of managing projects
