Infrastructure Architect

We are seeking four experienced Infrastructure Architects to support a critical cyber programme within the Operational Technology (OT) space. This is a contract role expected to last between 6 to 8 months. The projects involved will be deployed in OT environments but will utilize modern IT deployment tools and practices, making a solid understanding of both OT and IT systems essential.
Role Overview:
As a Solution Architect, you will be responsible for the design and deployment of various projects aimed at enhancing the security, efficiency, and resilience of OT systems. These projects include building and deploying infrastructure using Red Hat, automating processes with tools like Ansible and Kickstart, and implementing data collection and management platforms.
Key Projects:
OT Remote Backups:
- Design and deploy multiple hosts across various locations using Red Hat.
- Utilize Kickstart and Ansible for automation, and Satellite for updates.
- Implement a file sync solution to orchestrate recovery files across multiple locations, enabling centralized processing.
OT Data Insights Platform:
- Develop a platform for data collection and forwarding from substations.
- Utilize protocols such as MQTT and OPC to surface data efficiently.
OT Privileged Access Workstation (Paw) Refresh:
- Implement a centrally managed Privileged Access Workstation using Microsoft tools like Azure and Intune.
- Deploy virtual machines to manage applications related to asset management.
P&C Hardened Compute Platform:
- Build and deploy hosts using Red Hat and KVM, with automation through Kickstart and Ansible, and updates managed by Satellite.
- Deploy virtual machines to support operational activities.
OT Services Network Enhancements:
- Establish a Network Management Centre.
- Implement an asset management solution.
- Evaluate and propose network improvements to bolster security and resilience.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Extensive experience as a Solution Architect with a focus on both OT and IT environments.
- Proficiency with Red Hat, KVM, Ansible, Kickstart, and Satellite.
- Experience with data collection protocols such as MQTT and OPC.
- Familiarity with Microsoft tools including Azure and Intune.
- Strong understanding of network management and security best practices.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
