As part of our continuing growth of our Global Life Sciences team, Avidity Science are looking for a new Product Manager (Global Life Sciences) to be based at our facility in Long Crendon (near Thame, HP18 9BA).
Salary offered up to £50,000 dependant on experience, plus a discretionary annual bonus opportunity.

As Product Manager you will will be responsible for providing product management and support for Avidity Science’s global life science market. The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience of product management, with a passion for evolving great products; a knowledge of laboratory water systems will also be a distinct advantage.

This role offer the opportunity to work with a hybrid working pattern (3 days in the office, two at home). We are happy to hear from applicant looking for flexible working arrangements as well as those looking for full time opportunities, and would invite applicants to detail their ideal working patterns in a cover letter attached to their application.

There is a requirement in this role to periodically visit our company and customer sites in the UK and worldwide, with travel expected to be expected up to 20% of the time.
You will join our small, efficient Global Life Sciences team team and will have the chance to work on high-end precision Water purification devices which are built to the highest standards and shipped to a number of customer globally. Your direct team will be based in the UK and also across our wider global locations.

About the role
Some of the things you will be doing if you join us:
Support the company’s business targets for the global life science market.
Own the product life cycle process defining strategy and roadmap for solution offerings based on consolidated customer requirements, market dynamics and business potential.
Guide R&D efforts delivering on the roadmap.
Provide training and support of all laboratory water purification products and ancillary consumables to Avidity Science entities, channel partners and OEM distributors.
Work with the Marketing team to develop life science product-related marketing and sales tools.
Be an expert with respect to the competition. Conducting competitor research.
Establishing commercial and technical strategies for product pricing and positioning.
Manage product portfolio as assigned – be the product ‘expert’.
Collect and analyse feedback from our customers (Voice of Customer) and key stakeholders to build customer and market understanding.
Provide regular reports on key metrics to key stakeholders.
Work cross functionally with all aspects of the business to ensure that new products are fully embedded into the Operations workflow. Having a clear understanding of their processes and working to resolve potential friction points.
Understanding and providing guidance on regulatory approval, navigating standards, testing requirements, and relevant product standards
Perform other duties as assigned.

We’re keen to bring new people and ideas into the team; we don’t have a list of mandatory qualifications or skills to be considered for the role, although you’ll already have demonstrable experience of evolving existing and new products. However, some or all of the following could be expected of you:
Experience of scientific and/or research markets
Knowledge of laboratory water systems, ideally in the Life Sciences market
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate (both verbally and written) with and present at all levels.
Plan, schedule, and monitor own work competently within limited deadlines and according to relevant legislation and procedures.
Strong customer focus
Knowledge of every aspect of the product development life cycle process.
Ability to analyse complex data to identify market trends and customers’ behaviour.
