Are you a meticulous and experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk with a keen eye for detail and a passion for numbers? We are seeking a dedicated professional with expertise in managing pro forma payments to join our finance team. This role is based in the bustling heart of Croydon, offering a chance to be part of a thriving business environment.

Day to day of the role:
  • Oversee and manage the purchase ledger, ensuring all invoices are processed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Handle pro forma invoices and payments, maintaining precise records and ensuring suppliers are paid in accordance with agreed terms.
  • Reconcile supplier statements to ledger accounts, resolving any discrepancies that arise.
  • Prepare payment runs, ensuring efficient cash flow management.
  • Liaise with suppliers and internal departments to resolve any invoice queries.
  • Assist with month-end closing procedures and reporting.
  • Maintain an organised filing system for all financial documents.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Purchase Ledger Clerk, particularly with pro forma payments.
  • Strong understanding of ledger management and accounts payable processes.
  • Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
