This role sits within the Commercial and Marketingdepartment which supports all our market segments in Business.

What you’ll do:

  • Own propositions relating to fixed connectivity productssuch as Broadband, Ethernet and Wi-Fi and their related portfolio ofValue Added Services (VAS) and customer premise equipment (CPE)
  • Decide what to sell to whom at which price through whichroute to market for best results. This will cover all market segments:Soho, Mid Market, Wholesale and Hospitality subject to the propositionin question
  • Develop and take new propositions from concept tomarket: New propositions ideation, evaluation and business casingusing customer, competitor and trading insights. Once funding approvedwork with marketing, product and programme teams to take theproposition concept to market and ensure it delivers the business andcustomer benefits promised. Excite and engage our front line and widerteams working with L&D teams to best enable them to sell or serviceyour proposition
  • Own pricing and packaging for this categoryof propositions as a component of new proposition ideation and in lifemanagement
  • Own and maintain the marketing claims matrix to beused internally and externally for this proposition area
  • Evaluate scenarios and do business cases for new propositionsor marketing investments, linking where appropriate to LRP and annualplan
  • Lead a virtual team from the segments, commercial,marketing and product teams to leverage all elements of the marketingmix (price, product, place, promotion and people) to deliver customerproposition launches or changes successfully
  • Monitor andmanage in life performance of customer propositions and proactivelypropose and deliver enhancements/fixes with the wider Business team

What you’ll bring:

  • An innovative but pragmatic thinker able to come up withideas that will delight our customers but also make commercial senseand are technically realistic
  • Ability to create impactful,robust marketing claims that are backed up by strong reasons tobelieve to help us win in the market
  • Able to lead a virtualteam from across the business in taking a proposition from concept tomarket
  • Strong numeracy and commercial literacy includingbeing a fluent user of software such as Excel
  • Able to sizethe market opportunity for a proposition in terms of volumes, price,revenues and profits – backed by robust insight and data. Able tomodel the impacts of price and volume on revenue and margins
  • Expert user of customer insight: working with and distillingmultiple and disparate insights and data sources into compelling andactionable recommendations
  • Excellent communicator (bothwritten and verbal) with ability to influence and confidently leaddiscussions at all levels from front line to senior management
  • Supportive and inclusive leader with a good understanding ofhow to get the best from people both within and outside the team
  • Experience at working in a senior role in a broadband orsimilar customer proposition function at a leading UK telco or mediacompany – B2B or B2C
