The Faculty of Medical Leadership and Management is a charity that develops the healthcare leaders of tomorrow, and this exciting opportunity for an experienced Executive Officer is an important role working across the whole organisation at an exciting time of change for the Faculty. 
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, this is a vital role in the organisational infrastructure which will support the leadership team with effective time management and administration of cross-cutting corporate activities that contribute to FMLM’s strategic and operational objectives.
They will also undertake research, prepare reports, and coordinate projects on behalf of the leadership team. The EO will manage complex and shifting schedules, provide informed and relevant briefings in advance of meetings and ensure actions are followed up. You’ll assist the wider team with special projects, initiatives, or events, which may involve research, analysis, and coordination with a range of stakeholders.
You’ll also provide vital finance support with administration and assist in the preparation of financial reports. 
You’ll bring experience of providing personal assistant/executive level support to multiple senior stakeholders in a fast-paced corporate environment and being the first point of contact for a CEO or equivalent. With sound judgement, you’ll be flexible, adaptable and enthusiastic, and as you’ll be working with executive level colleagues, have the ability to exercise discretion, diplomacy and confidentiality. We are a charity and a membership organisation. We are also a General Medical Council (GMC)-approved Designated Body. Our primary objective is to raise the standard of patient care by improving healthcare leadership via support, development and advocacy. Our evidence base and professional standards represent peer-reviewed ‘best practice’ for NHS and non-NHS healthcare delivery organisations.
As well as being a charity, we also have a trading arm – FMLM Applied – which designs and delivers leadership development programmes for healthcare organisations.
Worldwide, healthcare systems are under pressure and healthcare leaders are responsible for making decisions that have a significant impact on patient care and on the healthcare workforce. FMLM is ideally placed to help clinical leaders meet these challenges.
This is a permanent role at 35 hours a week, offering 27 days annual leave with hybrid working,
Hybrid working arrangements are in place, with the current expectation that the post-holder will be in attendance in the office once a month as a minimum.
