Job Description:

Being part of the tax team for a large internationally owned retailor, gives exposure to a wide range of technical areas including international, property and employment matters. Working in a fast paced retail environment, you will gain experience in providing tax advice on a variety of matters, with guidance and support from Senior Managers in the team.The Tax team sits within the finance function but has a broad responsibility which stretches beyond finance into the wider business. Alongside ownership of the annual tax reporting process, the team provides a link to the wider retail environment helping to build an understanding of the changing tax legislation in order to inform decision making across the business.The successful candidate will play a key role in the team, including monthly and quarterly reporting under US GAAP, preparation of corporate tax computations and tax disclosures for the financial statements, and other ad-hoc project work.

  • Preparation of tax disclosures for UK statutory accounts under FRS101;
  • Preparation of monthly and quarterly reporting under US GAAP;
  • Preparation of the annual UK corporate tax computations, including liaising with the relevant teams in Finance and the wider business to obtain information;
  • Involvement in ad-hoc projects.
