Job Description: As a Financial Modeller in the SaaS industry, you will play a crucial role in analysing financial data and forecasting future performance to support strategic decision-making within the organisation. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Financial Analysis: Conducting detailed financial analysis of the broadcasting/media operations, including revenue streams, cost structures, and profitability metrics. This involves analysing historical financial data and identifying trends to provide insights into business performance.
  • Financial Forecasting: Developing and maintaining financial models to forecast revenue, expenses, and cash flows. These forecasts will be used to guide budgeting, resource allocation, and investment decisions, as well as to evaluate the potential impact of strategic initiatives.
  • Scenario Analysis: Performing scenario analysis to assess the financial implications of various business strategies, market conditions, and industry trends. This involves creating models that simulate different scenarios and evaluating their impact on key financial metrics.
  • Risk Assessment: Identifying and assessing financial risks associated with broadcasting/media operations, such as changes in advertising spending, audience behaviour, or regulatory developments. You will work closely with other departments to mitigate risks and ensure the financial stability of the organization.
  • Reporting and Presentation: Compiling financial reports and presentations for senior management, board members, and external stakeholders. You will communicate complex financial concepts in a clear and concise manner, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Collaboration: Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including finance, sales, marketing, and content production, to gather relevant data and insights for financial analysis. You will also work closely with IT professionals to optimize and automate financial modelling processes.
  • Continuous Improvement: Staying abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in financial modelling and analysis. You will proactively identify opportunities to enhance the accuracy, efficiency, and effectiveness of financial models and processes.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in financial modelling, analysis, and forecasting, preferably within a related sector.
  • Proficiency in financial modelling software and familiarity with data visualization tools
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and draw meaningful insights.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
