Location: Opfikon-Glattbrugg, Zurich

Reporting to: Head of Group Financial Reporting

You, as our Financial Reporting Specialist

This position is a key role in an international Group Financial Reporting team and has a global responsibility. Your main responsibility will be monthly, quarterly and annual financial closings on global level as part of the Group Financial Reporting team. You will also become expert in certain specific IFRS subject matters, in the consolidation and reporting tool, beside working closely with our country finance teams. In this role you will be reporting to the Head of Group Financial Reporting.

Main Responsibilities

  • Reporting Cycle: Organize and lead your areas of responsibilities for the regular reporting cycle of Swissport Group. This includes preparing and supporting internal communications and driving the reporting processes and quality within the financial global organization.
  • Leadership and Execution: Lead and execute Group accounting and financial reporting tasks and projects, including transaction-related work, support local finance teams, drive financial reporting process improvements, and implementing efficiencies.
  • Group Accounting Policy: Implement and execute accounting policy changes to the Group Accounting Manual under IFRS. Train the global finance organization in accounting policies and procedures and support in complex accounting queries.
  • Reporting governance: Review and oversee the Group's reporting quality and ensure reporting governance across the Group.
  • Group Audit: Involvement in quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements under IFRS and act as one of the key contacts for external auditors globally.
  • Project Implementation: Collaborate with the Head of Group Financial Reporting to implement projects aimed at improving the effectiveness and efficiency of financial reporting systems.
  • Lease engine: Use the lease-engine for financial reporting and provide support to the finance community on lease accounting under IFRS.

Your qualifications and Competencies

  • University degree (or similar) with specialization in finance and/or accounting
  • 3 to 4 years of work experience in an IFRS reporting environment on the corporate side, Big4 experience is a plus
  • Good and practical knowledge of IFRS is a must
  • Ability to communicate accurately and efficiently in English on professional level
  • Strong problem-solving skills and analytical skills
  • Ability to give presentations for diverse audiences
  • Eager to acquire experience and build a career in a high-performance environment with a strong teamwork spirit
  • Ability and willingness to work in a high performance and diverse environment
  • Team oriented and independent working style is a must
  • Genuine interest in aviation industry is a plus
