The role of Social & Content Manager sits within Made By Goodstuff; the content, creative, social & partnerships arm of the business. The Social & Content Manager is required to direct the day-to-day client activities and delivery of work across social and content projects; and is responsible for delivering exceptional client and project management to ensure the delivery of inventive, award-winning work, whilst motivating and mentoring junior members of the team and delighting clients along the way.

Reporting to the Social & Content Director

  • Manage client responses from concept through to delivery, ensuring excellence across all deliverables
  • Build project timelines, deliverables and scopes of work - ensuring accountability at every level
  • Build impactful client relationships, influencing clients through strong relationships and compelling communications
  • Directing effective client meetings, setting the agenda, tone and desired outcome
  • Deliver work with autonomy across social and content projects
  • Work alongside strategy, creative media, design and content teams to elevate the work we do and deliver inventive and effective solutions
  • Lead and develop a junior members of the team, creating clarity around team roles and responsibilities
  • Identify learning and development opportunities for direct reports
  • Skillfully delegate to ensure direct reports are performing tasks effectively
  • Awareness and understanding of commercial objectives, overseeing frictionless financial processes across the team
  • Ensure efficient management of billing processes, timely invoicing and quick resolution of finance queries
  • Accurate and consistent weekly completion of timesheets

  • Contribute to Made By and agency wide ideas sessions to deliver more inventive ideas and award-winning work

  • Discover and develop a personal ‘And Some’ and support direct reports in finding theirs
The requirements


  • Previous experience working in an organic social & content environment required
  • Thorough knowledge of social media platforms, key trends and social strategy
  • Ability to analyse and evaluate social data to identify insights that inform strategic recommendations
  • Thorough understanding around social media measurement tools
  • Experience in leading in the seamless delivery of social content campaigns
  • Skilled in managing multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment, ensuring that delivery and client services levels are consistently high
  • Experience working with design/creative/digital teams, and in managing clients
  • Personable, passionate and professional
  • A natural curiosity and a desire to learn
  • Collaborative and naturally entrepreneurial
  • Positive approach and ability to galvanise others
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills (written and oral)
  • Creative, analytical and numerical ability
  • Highly organised with meticulous levels of attention to detail
  • Ability to think around problems and get to inventive solutions
