Are you a commercially minded analytics leader ready to shape pricing, propositions, and growth strategy for one of the UK's most iconic subscription brands?
This senior leadership role sits at the heart of a fast-growing digital subscriptions business — driving the strategy behind pricing, trading, and customer lifetime value to deliver sustainable, data-driven revenue growth.
The Role:
You'll lead a small but high-impact team focused on maximising the performance of a major subscription product. This means taking ownership of the trading and pricing strategy, setting the agenda for long-term planning, and using data to influence decisions at the very top of the organisation.
Day to day, you'll:
Lead and develop the Strategic Pricing & Planning team, ensuring delivery of high-quality analysis and actionable insights.
Act as the senior point of contact for trading performance, pricing strategy, and revenue optimisation — regularly reporting to executive leadership.
Define and execute the pricing and propositions roadmap, ensuring every decision is backed by robust data and aligned to commercial goals.
Oversee forecasting, scenario modelling, and performance tracking to inform strategic decisions.
Champion the use of data to understand customer behaviour, lifetime value, and retention, ensuring strategies maximise both acquisition and loyalty.
Collaborate with teams across Finance, Marketing, Product, and Editorial to align pricing and proposition performance with broader business objectives.
Your Skills and Experience:
You'll bring:
Proven experience in pricing, trading, or strategic analysis, ideally within subscriptions, media, publishing, or digital products.
Strong commercial acumen, with experience managing revenue, P&L, or pricing decisions.
The ability to turn complex analytics into clear, evidence-based recommendations that influence senior stakeholders.
Experience leading and coaching a team
A deep understanding of LTV, churn, and retention dynamics within subscription models.
Comfort working with large datasets and analytical tools (SQL or BigQuery a plus, not essential).
A strategic mindset — able to balance customer insight with commercial targets to drive sustainable growth.
