Located on Tooley Street with less than a 100 meters away from the iconic Tower Bridge, one of the most iconic London landmarks, The Dixon hotel has 193 bedrooms, a cocktail bar, espresso bar and restaurant called Shakedown, and an iconic Cocktail bar which used to be a former courtroom back when the hotel was a police station, called The Courtroom Bar, In addition to two meeting rooms and a gym.

About the role

You will be the first point of contact for all new enquiries and will have strong communication skills and be a real people person.

You’ll work in support of the DOS to achieve revenue sales and marketing strategies for the hotel to ensure plans are implemented, results are monitored, and sales goals are achieved. Regularly sell hotel rooms, Meeting & Events and food & beverage outlets through direct client contacts and intermediary relationships..

Principal duties will include:

Planning and managing all events & groups from enquiry stages to post event stage, whilst maintaining a strong level or repeating loyal customer base.

Communicating with widen departments through the dedicated channels, such as weekly meeting and BEO creation.

Supporting the creation and development of special events and sales blitzes to showcase the hotel to potential clients.

Cultivate local relationships in London Bridge & Tower Bridge with existing and new clients

Develop and maintain relationships with key clients and outside contacts (example: guests, repeat clients, travel agencies, and local community groups) to produce group business, including room sales, food and beverage sales, and restaurant and event services with the support of the DOS

Conduct show rounds and attend networking events and represent the hotel/group at industry events, trade shows as required with the support of the DOS

Produce weekly/monthly reports on activity, corporate production, Events & Groups pipeline and track all sales activity in line with required timeframes

Achieve KPI’s in line with team strategy, consisting of a projected number of sales calls/appointments and leads per week/month.

Assist with conversion for incoming enquiries by sending proposals and organising client site inspections

Assist DOS with the administration duties, proactive sales calls, appointment making, sales reporting

Support DOS to achieve budgeted revenues and perform in line with personal/team sales goals and maximise profitability.

Drive measurable incremental occupancy in key sales-focused segments - increasing average rates, volume, events, rooms and food & beverage sales.

Attending trade shows and major market events to promote new business & increase hotel sales.

Promptly follow up and on all account needs and enquiries

About you

You will have previous experience working in a similar environment for around 1 year.

You must be able to demonstrate real interest in customer requirements to effectively match our facilities, be passionate about delivering excellent customers service and be a team player who enjoys working together to exceed targets ‘

You will also have a positive attitude, good communication skills, a commitment to delivering a high level of customer service, excellent organisational skills and a high level of IT skills and marketing skills, specifically social selling/websites.
