Position: Mechanical Contracts Manager
They are seeking an experienced Mechanical Contracts Manager with a strong background in CAT A and CAT B commercial office fit-outs and retail sectors. The upcoming projects will be based in M4 Corridor.
Key Responsibilities:
- Programme Design and Delivery: Develop and execute the project programme efficiently.
- Procurement Management: Oversee the entire procurement process, including sourcing materials, negotiating contracts, and evaluating vendor proposals.
- Financial and Health & Safety Management: Handle project finances, variation accounts, and ensure health and safety compliance, delivering a snag-free project.
- Client Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring effective communication and relationship management.
- Project Handover: Ensure successful project handover, including final accounts and completion of all O&M documentation.
- Sub-Contractor Management: Demonstrate a proven ability to manage and oversee sub-contractors and their deliverables.
Candidate Requirements:
- Strong management skills with the ability to build effective working relationships both internally and externally.
- Excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and leadership qualities.
- Previous experience in UK commercial office fit-out projects is essential.
- Relevant mechanical qualifications and a background in construction.
