We welcome applications from Clinical, Counselling and Forensic Psychologists. These posts could either be appointed as a band 7 preceptorship working towards an 8a position, or at an 8a depending upon skills and experience. The post covers the Regional Inpatient CAMHS Hospital in Moseley, South Birmingham for young people age 12-17 years old requiring hospital assessment and treatment in Specialist Eating Disorders care , General Adolescent Unit and a higher dependency unit.


We work as part of a multidisciplinary team and are an enthusiastic and dynamic team of Psychologists who value our professional identity and career progression opportunities that develop the 4 pillars of key skills namely our therapeutic expertise, leadership, education of others and service development within Tier 4 and linking with Forward Thinking Birminghamacross our mental health services division.

Clinical Psychology Doctorate
Register of Applied Psychology Practice Supervisors


Experience of working with children /adolescents


Experience of working in an inpatient and/or acute health setting


Facilitating clinical decision making & care planning With multi disciplinary professionals


Confidence & experience of using Microsoft systems (Outlook, Word, Powerpoint, etc)
Confidence and experience of using digital platforms to aid communication and connection e.g. Birmingham Women's and Children's NHS Foundation Trust
