We are seeking a 1st Line Service Desk Engineer to join our Global IT Services Company in a permanent position with the opportunity to train to become an Technical Support Engineer. The role will be based in London (On-sit Day/Night shift).

Responsibilities & Skills:

  • The successful applicant will be a 1st Line Service Desk Engineer, keen to learn and be trained in the below:
  • Experience of working as a 1st Line Service Desk Engineer
  • Works within a team with some supervision supporting end users with technical queries relating to several products/systems (e.g. Microsoft products, operating systems, networks, applications, PCS).
  • Follows established processes/systems and recommends improvements to these as appropriate to resolve routine customer enquiries. Documents actions taken to resolve enquiries.
  • Technical Assessments.
  • Correct management of processes followed to deliver service.
  • Improvement/enhancements to service delivery.
  • Known errors with workarounds or fixes loaded in knowledge database.
  • Percentage of customer problems resolved within required timescales.
  • Contribution to service improvements.
