A leading banking organisation is seeking a skilled and experienced Design Researcher to join their team on a fixed-term contract. The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience as a UX Researcher, User Researcher, or Design Researcher, with expertise in both Generative (Exploratory) and Evaluative research practises.
Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team, leading the research practise and setting clear strategies to help achieve agreed outcomes.
Conduct in-depth user research to gather insights and uncover user needs, preferences, and pain points.
Plan, design, and conduct usability tests, interviews, surveys, and other research methods to validate design concepts and solutions.
Analyse and synthesise research findings to provide actionable insights that inform design decisions and drive improvements.
Create user personas, user journey maps, and other design artefacts to communicate research findings to stakeholders.
Collaborate closely with stakeholders, including designers, product managers, and developers, to ensure research findings are integrated into the design process.
Advocate for user-centred design principles and promote the importance of research within the organisation.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practises in design research, sharing knowledge and driving innovation within the team.
Demonstrable experience specifically as a UX Researcher, User Researcher, or Design Researcher.
Proven experience in both Generative (Exploratory) and Evaluative research practises.
Strong collaboration skills, able to engage stakeholders to make research a team sport.
Experience in different sectors, preferably including financial services.
