About The Role

We are looking for a Renewable Technology Operative/Engineer to join our team of talented people. This role will be field based in the South Hams and Plymouth area.

You will be diagnosing and repairing renewable technologies systems, including fault-finding, installation and annual servicing . You will ensure good quality workmanship which upholds company standards, complies with building regulations, and follows safety requirements. There is an out-of hours service, which you will participate in on a rota basis and you will act as an ambassador for LiveWest at all times.

This is a full time opportunity although part time (minimum 30 hours per week) or job share may be available.

About The Candidate

To be considered for the role of Renewable Technology Operative, you will meet the following requirements:

Qualifications:
  • Current holder of ACS, minimum requirements being CCN1, CEN1, HTR1, CKR1. (D)
  • WRAS Water Supply Regs. (D)
  • UHW10/HWSS Unvented DHW Storage Systems. (D)
  • NVQ Level 3 plumbing or equivalent.
  • Unvented hot water systems part G. (D)
  • BPEC L3 or equivalent in heat pump installation. (D)
  • Level 3 heat pump system design.
  • F-Gas Category 1. (D)
  • Experience installing or servicing Air/Ground source heat pumps. (D)
  • Knowledge of ventilation systems.(D)
  • Knowledge of photovoltaic systems.(D)
All criteria is to be considered as essential unless listed as Desirable - (D).

Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
  • Post qualification experience in the renewable technologies industry.
  • Awareness of health and safety procedures.
  • Technical diagnosis of boiler faults and heating systems.
  • Annual servicing and installation work.
  • You will be highly competent with a positive can-do attitude.
  • You will have excellent customer service skills.
  • A full UK driving licence.
