This is a newly created role as we recognise that we want to attract the best talent from our community and further afield. We are developing the council’s workforce strategy and recruitment, and retention is one of the key pillars of this strategy.

You will be reporting to the Director of Workforce and Organisational Development, be as a member of the Workforce and Organisational Development management team you will play a vital role in maintaining and developing strong and resilient relationships with senior officers, the workforce, schools, education settings, FE/HE providers, and other organisations.

About you

You will be a highly organised and focused HROD senior leader with a history of leading change within a complex organisation. We are looking for an innovative and creative individual who thinks outside the box. You will have a strong understanding of the recruitment market and how to maximise social media to reach large and diverse audiences.

You will be highly resilient and determined, equipped to challenge the status quo resulting in behaviours that meet the needs of the communities which we serve.

You will be an excellent communicator – able to mobilise ways of working that secure individual responsibility for delivery of strategy and action plans.

You will have a strong understanding of equalities, diversity and inclusion and employment legislation.
