Overview

As a Housing Officer, you will be responsible for delivering a high-quality tenancy and neighbourhood management service to both general needs and sheltered residents. Your role will ensure that residents sustain their tenancies, actively engage in decision making, and live in well maintained, secure neighbourhoods.

Responsibilities

  • Tenancy & Leasehold Management: Manage a portfolio of tenancies, ensuring compliance with agreements and addressing any breaches.
  • Resident Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with residents, enhancing their overall satisfaction and quality of life.
  • Support for Vulnerable Residents : Identify vulnerable individuals and connect them with the appropriate support services.
  • Tenancy Audits: Conduct tenancy audits to maintain up to date intelligence on the properties and residents in your area.
  • Fire Safety Compliance: Report fire safety issues and ensure prompt action in accordance with best practice guidelines.
  • Voids & Reletting: Work with the voids team to minimise rent loss and achieve performance targets.
  • Housing Advice: Provide expert housing advice and direct residents to suitable services.
  • Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) Management: Take the lead on ASB cases, collaborating with partners to ensure quick and effective resolutions.
  • Emergency Response: Respond to emergencies on estates, offering support and reassurance to residents onsite.
