Creative Arts Specialist

Protocol Education are working with Primary and Secondary schools across South Gloucestershire to find Creative Arts Specialists. Whether you have a degree in Drama, help out with your local Dance classes or produce music as your hobby – we can help you find a perfect role to show off your skills and knowledge in an education setting.

There are plenty of transferable skills that you can bring from your Creative Arts degree, which can be used within the classroom; teamwork, dedication, resilience, motivation, communication and of course, creativity are all essential when working with children and young people in schools

Using your creative arts background, you will be able to engage students in a fun, creative and engaging way, which can help the child holistically in terms of their behaviour, attitude, mental health, well-being and learning.

Role: Creative Arts Specialist

Start Date: Monday 20 th June 2024

Location: Bristol, BS15

About you:

  • A genuine care and interest in children’s education.
  • Passion and knowledge for chosen specialism(s)
  • Caring, approachable and has the drive to develop strong relationships with students, colleagues and parents/carers.
  • Creative and a ‘think outside the box’ approach.
  • Can utilise a variety of teaching methods to help engaging deliver lessons confidently within specialism.
  • Open minded and flexible to work with a variety of students with various needs.

Roles available:

  • Class teacher – depending on qualifications (QTS needed)
  • Cover supervisor/unqualified teacher – (no qualifications needed)
  • Dance/Drama/Music coach
  • Behaviour Support Assistant
  • Youth Worker
  • 1:1 Mentor/Support

Qualifications and Experience: ( Desirable but not essential)

  • Any previous teaching/youth work experience or any relevant experience working with young people.
  • Any relevant qualifications.
  • Teaching.
  • Safeguarding.
  • First Aid.
  • Youth work.
  • Understanding of National Curriculum.
