Senior & Principal Mechanical Design Engineer

Location: Glasgow

The Role

You will join an effective product development team focused on quickly building, iterating on, and deploying modern automated systems,robotic platforms, tools, and processes to change the world of Chemistry through automation

The hardware engineer will build upon existing platforms and tools by bringing experience and

know-how in advanced mechatronics, fluidics, and commercial grade hardware development

to take on a key technical role at the company.

To facilitate your role, the client boasts an industry-leading array of prototype manufacturing equipment, including advanced 3D printing technologies, CNC machining, and metal forming.

Requirements

• BEng Hons in mechanical engineering, design, or similar

• 5+ years of experience in design, development, testing, and launch of hardware and

mechatronics solutions in highly collaborative environments

• Experience building successful mechatronics and fluidic solutions to technical problems

• Experience designing for a range of manufacturing and fabrication methods (machining, sheet metal forming, moulding, 3D printing)

• Strong understanding of core mechanical engineering principles such as material

selection, GD&T, fluid mechanics

• Experience designing low-pressure pneumatic and hydraulic systems, linear & rotating mechanical systems
