Salary Range: Grade F, Scale Point 22 - £39,253

Hours: 37 hours per week

Role Overview

Aylesbury Town Council are seeking an experienced Senior Communities & Events Officer to play a key role in delivering the Aylesbury Town Councils Events programme. This is an excellent opportunity to work as part of a busy team, delivering exciting and high-profile live outdoor public events.

About the Role

Join the dynamic team as a Senior Communities and Events Officer and play a pivotal role in delivering our programme of events This exciting opportunity involves planning, managing, and executing high-profile public events around Aylesbury.

As part of a vibrant team, you'll contribute to 13 events, including the renowned Parklife weekend, engaging with a diverse audience of over 20000 people across the weekend and collaborating with 150 event partners throughout the year.

About you

We would love to hear from you if you have the skills, capability, knowledge or track record in:

  • Successfully managing the planning, delivery and evaluation of outdoor public events, campaigns and initiatives
  • Engaging with a range of different stakeholders, both public and private sector i.e. statutory agencies, contractors, sponsors and Aylesbury’s diverse communities.
  • Project management
  • Working within a political setting

· 23 days annual leave plus bank holidays (pro-rated if part time).

· Time Off In Lieu (TOIL), is given for all weekend and overtime worked. 

· Will consider hybrid model after successful completion of 6 months’ probationary period.
