Product Marketing Manager

Greater Manchester (Oldham)

An opportunity has arisen for a Product Marketing Manager to join this leading global semiconductor manufacturer. Degree qualified and with 2 to 3 years experience you will be an ambitious individual looking to develop a career in an international business environment. Working within the Automotive Business Group you will be responsible for providing technical and commercial support to our customers and sales teams.

The role involves the following :

Key responsibility areas include:

•Provide first line of commercial support to customers, sales team and pricing team.

•Provide the pricing team with price guidance, and review and approve price quotations.

•Become a key contributor in price positioning and portfolio price / margin optimization

•Respond to day-to-day technical enquiries on the Discrete product portfolio (MOSFET, Diodes) from customers and their EU and NA sales teams

•Define the positioning and the “go to market” strategies for new Discrete products and prepare the technical marketing content of Press release, brochures and presentations.

•Conduct regular meetings with customers, to gain market knowledge and aid design in activity

Ideally candidates should possess:

•Degree Educated, preferably in Electronic Engineering, Business or Marketing.

•Understanding of semiconductors

•Price management experience

•Commercial acumen

Ideally candidates should be able to demonstrate:

•Fluent English language (written and spoken)

•Ability to explain technical aspects and concepts to technical and non-technical people combined with commercial understanding

•Strong communication skills

•Self driven and self motivated with autonomous work style

•Results orientated team player

•A practical, hands on approach with high level of analytical skills

•High level of PC skills (Excel/Access/Oracle) – spreadsheet skills are critical and candidates must be able to use analytical tools to manipulate data

There is a requirement for international travel
