What the job does:

We’re looking for a Middleweight Graphic Designer to join our highly productive in-house design team, within our Creative Agency. The ideal candidate will have a varied portfolio demonstrating; creative excellence, a keen eye for detail and strength in branding, typography, and layout.

Reporting to the Lead Graphic Designer, you will help develop brand and campaign collateral, keeping the core identity and vision of the brand at the heart of everything you do. You’ll strive to learn and develop, thrive in a fast paced and dynamic environment, love to be busy and enjoy working on multiple projects. You’ll have excellent visual and verbal communication skills, you enjoy working with people at all levels and love to be part of a team. You’ll be able to interpret briefs, be extremely organised and manage your own projects from conception through to completion, with support from Lead Graphic Designer and Senior Design Project Manager. You’ll be an expert in print, have a passion for beauty and fashion and demonstrate a keen interest in developments within the wider creative industry.

As part of a dynamic Design Team, working in a supportive and nurturing environment, you will be encouraged to hone and develop your design skills with support from Senior Creatives.

Role Accountabilities:

You will be a passionate designer with commercial awareness and an expert eye for branding, typography, and layout.

Translate briefs from a variety of departments, connect and communicate with job holders to effectively ascertain the key asks for each project and develop design solutions that support this.

You will confidently navigate the creative process, from initial concepts, through to development and print-ready executions - sharing these explorations with key stakeholders.

Have a strategic mind and be able to think on your feet. You will understand the latest trends, be a keen researcher and always look to develop innovative design solutions.

You will have an appreciation and respect of brand guidelines yet use your initiative and intuition when you feel they can be challenged and developed.

Participate in design review and presentation meetings, as well as regular meetings with cross-functional department members and line manager.

Requirements

BA in graphic design of the Arts from a reputable design school and prior experience in the graphic design field.

Excellent knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite; InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.

You will have a portfolio showcasing your work and your creative process
