We’re looking for a Middleweight Graphic Designer to join our Communications Team.

Reporting to the Senior Design Lead, you will be responsible for delivering creative, audience appropriate and engaging design solutions for internal and external health promotion and awareness campaigns.

To be successful in this role, you will have expertise in producing designs for print and digital communications, a graphic design qualification and similar proven experience, with proficiency in the full Adobe suite. Experience with film editing software such as Premier Pro or After Effects is desirable but not essential. In return you will have a variety of creative projects and will help set direction and embed good practice.

- Educated to degree level or equivalent qualification in graphic design
- Substantial years experience in a graphic design role
- Experience of a wide range of graphic design programmes, including Adobe Creative Suite
- Experience of brand development and extension
- Ability to develop creative campaigns and products for a range of services and audiences across all media (including online solutions - web design, digital graphics)
- Good time management skills and ability to work under pressure whilst undertaking a variety of projects
- Portfolio that showcases your experience and ability in graphic design covering print and digital design.

Main duties
- Work closely with all members of the communications team to maintain a corporate design style for all Trust materials, in line with the existing CNWL brand and NHS identity guidelines and ensure the Trust brand remains fresh.
- To support the design of patient information for a diverse range of clinical services, whose audiences vary greatly in terms of requirements (this may include adapting materials in larger fonts or working with easy read)
- To support on the design of various print materials including a range of in-house materials including posters, leaflets, brochures and banners ensuring brand consistency throughout
- To support on the design of creative presentations, films, infographics, digital assets and other visual forms of information
- To support filming and editing of internal and external videos. This will include adding captions to films
- Assist the team by proof checking content and ensuring Trust language is consistent throughout materials
- Assisting on photography shoots and retouching images
- To establish and maintain an effective photo library, alongside a log of photography/video
- To support the management of the Trust’s events/conferences and develop printed and electronic presentations for use at these events
- To create design templates including newsletters where appropriate for use across the Trust, and provide support for teams to use these
- Monitor use of the CNWL logo and support a wider programme of brand and reputation management across the Trust
- Undertake any other duties commensurate with the grade as requested.
