As Financial accountant, in this newly established role, you shall produce monthly management accounts in a timely and accurate manner whilst seeking to ensure robust financial controls and processes are in place. Supporting the audit requirements and budget/forecasting across the business this role shall also assist in future acquisition processes whilst supporting the leadership team for commercial gain.
Production of management accounts, variance and trend analysis and statutory reporting
• responsible for balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring they are prepared on a monthly basis, and that all balances are correct and differences investigated.
• To become the main point of contact for Ops managers for financial support and queries on P&Ls.
• Support the commercial finance team with information and performance analysis to assist decision making for local teams.
• Develop robust processes and controls to ensure risks are managed appropriately in line with Group requirements.
• Support in the production of accurate monthly and quarterly flash results for Financial Planning and Commercial teams.
• Assisting in year-end statutory audit process.
• Working closely with operational manager to optimise performance, control cost and improve profitability.
• Investment Appraisal for future acquisition targets.
• Other ad hoc projects as required by CFO, Finance Director or Financial Controller.
To be considered for this role you shall be a qualified accountant (CIMA ACA ACCA) with experience in a similar role. With strong technical skills across financial and management accounting, you shall also have the ability to support the audit process and the commercial acumen to add value to acquisition review with senior stakeholders. With strong attention to detail, you shall have excellent communication skills and the ability to relay financial information to non-financial personnel.
