At Tarmac, who you are matters. We are currently recruiting fora Highways Operative to join our Highways team working on the Norwich project of works. As the Highways Operative you will be instrumental in the successful delivery of kerbing, paving, drainage and patching works within the Norwich and Norfolk region by Tarmac along with our sub-contractors.
Other responsibilities for this role of Highways Operative will include:

Support the delivery of our programme of Highways works
Work within a crew to undertake works orders in a planned fashion and to the highest quality
Carry out pre-start checks on each machine you are operating (including hired-in plant)
Work to your gangs targets and minimise costs to maximise profitability and offer any alternative methods of working
Ensure all plant is safely and securely stored in the designated areas at the end of your shift
Be proactive and update your personal training plan with your line manager at your regular review sessions
Achievement of Company and Contractual KPIs and year-on-year improvement of Contract/Scheme KPIs
You must be able to work overtime to cover out of hours emergency call out as directed
It is preferred that the successful candidate for the role of Highways Operative will have the following:
NRSWA card
Experience in construction and highways maintenance works
A valid UK full manual car driving licence no more than 6 points
