Our client is looking for an EHS Specialist to support the manufacturing organisation, predominantly at Teesport, but with some regular travel to their other UK sites. This is a great opportunity to further develop EHS experience in a varied role. The role will be reporting into the UK EHS Manager. Hours of work would be Monday - Friday, 35 hours per week. In this position you will be responsible for:

  • Supervising the implementation, development and maintenance of health, safety and environment programmes according to company standards and local regulations.
  • Evaluating and assessing the organisation and production processes, systems and technology - recommending changes that will improve safety and reduce environmental impact of the organisation’s operations.
  • Conducting EHS audits to identify risks and development opportunities, and for co-ordinating ISO14001 and ISO 45001 processes.
  • Developing, coordinating and providing training in EHS topics to ensure employee understanding with the organisation’s policies and standards.
Requirements:
  • NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent qualification and willingness to develop professionally.
  • High level of organisational skills, combined with EHS experience ideally in an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels both written and verbally.
  • Able to problem solve, demonstrate initiative and plan ahead.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), web-based database systems
  • UK Driving Licence
