EHS Specialist

Hours of work would be Monday - Friday, 35 hours per week.
In this position you will be responsible for:
* Supervising the implementation, development and maintenance of health, safety and environment programmes according to company standards and local regulations.
* Evaluating and assessing the organisation and production processes, systems and technology - recommending changes that will improve safety and reduce environmental impact of the organisation’s operations.
* Conducting EHS audits to identify risks and development opportunities, and for co-ordinating ISO14001 and ISO 45001 processes.
* Developing, coordinating and providing training in EHS topics to ensure employee understanding with the organisation’s policies and standards.
Requirements:
* NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent qualification and willingness to develop professionally.
* High level of organisational skills, combined with EHS experience ideally in an industrial manufacturing environment.
* Ability to communicate effectively at all levels both written and verbally.
* Able to problem solve, demonstrate initiative and plan ahead.
* Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), web-based database systems
* UK Driving Licence
