Business Development Representative (GenAI)
The Sama Go-To-Market Team is enabling the future of responsible GenAI development. We're looking for an enthusiastic, motivated Business Development Representative (BDR) who loves to work at the cutting-edge of technology, create new relationships with clients and sell solutions that drive an ethical supply chain in AI.
We’d like a candidate who will blend written and verbal communication skills with excitement to learn about GenAI and LLM development. 
This role will support Sama’s mission to drive social impact and lift more people out of poverty by creating additional opportunities for our teams in East Africa and connecting them to digital work in the GenAI space. 
Identify and prospect for potential clients through various channels (cold calling, email campaigns, social media, industry event attendance, networking events).
Conduct deep account research to identify business maturity and goals, strategic priorities, and key decision-makers, and communicate findings in a succinct and timely manner to account teams.
Set up meetings or calls between prospective clients and Account Executives. 
Utilize CRM software to manage leads, track interactions, and report on sales activities.
1-3 years of experience in business development or similar role
~ Must have knowledge about or be very interested in Gen AI and model development 
~ Strong organizational and project management skills, as well as attention to detail
~ Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including copywriting and proofreading
~ Ability to independently move projects forward, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
~ Previous experience with LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Salesforce, Asana, and automated outbound tools (e.g., Outreach, Sales loft)
Understanding of Account-Based Marketing strategies and playbooks
