Wood have a requirement for a Principal Piping Designer to expand the current staff capability. This position will be based in our offices in Stockton and hybrid working is available. The role requires extensive experience in the onshore oil & gas and petrochemical industries along with extensive 3D experience using E3D Software and 2D experience using AutoCad Software.
Execute Plant Layout and Piping discipline design and draughting activities within budget and schedule.
Execute design and draughting activities (Concept, Front End Engineering Development (FEED) & Detailed Design).
Prepare Plant Layout and Piping drawings and design deliverables to the required technical quality with minimum input from engineering personnel as required.
Managing small teams of designers on larger projects.
Assist in the development of trainee designers.
Experienced Designer with a sound technical background and strong knowledge of CAD design software - 2D AutoCAD and 3D E3D software is essential.
Achieve safety standards as defined by Wood.
Experience of working with remote execution centres is desirable.
Able to carry out onshore site surveys in accordance with Wood Health & Safety requirements.
Extensive experience of working on Brownfield modification projects.
Computer literate (database / spreadsheets).
