My client, a top US law firm, is actively recruiting for someone to join their established and professional risk and compliance team in London – working as their new Conflicts Assistant.

You will part of an extremely busy risk and compliance team which includes the Compliance Director, Compliance Lawyers and Compliance Analysts – this is a unique position where you’ll be assisting with both London and New York offices

As the successful Conflicts Assistant, you’ll be responsible for (but not limited to) the following:

  • Conducting conflict checks for Lawyers on new matters
  • Performing quality control checks for conflict of interest reports
  • Assisting conflicting and compliance teams in evaluating relationships between entities
  • Assisting with the implementation and maintenance of walls, using Intapp
  • Assist when needed with questions relation to conflicts reports
  • Performing research and analysis for lateral hires, as well as new Lawyers
  • Maintaining tracking spreadsheets and filing of documentation
  • Liaising with Lawyers (or the requesters) on a regular basis

To be considered for this exciting Conflicts Assistant position, you’ll need to have/be the following:

  • Have relevant experience within compliance/conflicts from a top law firm
  • Have knowledge of the SRA Rules (US conflict rules desirable)
  • Have working knowledge of conflicts platforms
  • Be extremely organised and have excellent communication skills
  • Be a proactive with every task given
