THE ROLE

There are two part time roles 

  • Perioperative Clinical Educator (NZ Registered Nurse / Anaesthetic Technician), 3 days per week, 0.6 FTE
  • Ward Clinical Educator (NZ Registered Nurse), 3 days per week, 0.6 FTE

This is an onsite role. Part time of 3 days and 0.6 FTE ( 24 hours per week)

These roles sit within the Clinical & Risk Safety Quality team and reports to the Clinical & Risk Safety Quality Manager with functional relations to the Clinical Managers 

There are no direct reports to this position however working relationships are across the business and will provide a variety of responsibilities and connection throughout the day.

  • Five years experience in theatre/perioperative/post surgical nursing in a wide range of procedures
  • Experience across urology, gynaecology, orthopaedics & ENT .
  • Extensive preceptor and adult teaching knowledge.
  • Well-developed time management and organisational skills.
  • Completed or working towards a Post Graduate Diploma or Masters in Nursing or equivalent in Education. 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • MS Office experience (Excel and Word).
  • Current or working towards expert PDRP level.
  • Utilise the Kirkpatrick Model in education evaluation.
