Tax - Assistant Manager OR Tax Manager: Ely, Cambridgeshire

We are seeking to recruit for an Assistant Tax Manager or Tax Manager to assist our Partners and Senior Tax Manager in dealing with high quality advisory and compliance matters for a range of private clients, including high net worth individuals, non-resident individuals and Trustees. The role is based at our Ely office and will include managing a portfolio of clients.
The successful candidate will have a recognised taxation qualification (ATT and/or CTA), or nearing completion, or be qualified by experience and a background in personal and private client tax. There are excellent prospects for progression for the right individual.
The role will involve working alongside the Senior Tax Manager and Partners in connection with matters such as:- Capital Gains Tax advice.
- CGT on UK property returns.
- Inheritance Tax.
- Trusts, including the trust registration service.
- Statutory Residence Test reviews and tax returns for non resident individuals.
- Supervising and reviewing the work of less senior members of the team.
- Preparation and review of Self Assessment Tax Returns
- Property Income
We are looking for an individual who has some experience in such matters and who is looking to widen their knowledge and experience. Inheritance Tax and trusts, including the trust registration service, knowledge is preferred.
CCH experience is an advantage. Great communication skills are essential, together with the ability to work in a team or independently. The candidate should also be comfortable communicating to clients, including explaining complex matters in a clear and straightforward manner.
The candidate should be self-motivated and have the ability to work well under pressure.
Salary/remuneration package on offer would be at market rates in line with knowledge and experience.
