Estimator - Property Development
Company Overview: Our client is a prominent property development firm dedicated to shaping the future of Middlesborough. Position Overview: We are seeking a talented Estimator with specialized expertise in property development to join our dynamic team in Middlesborough. As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of our projects by accurately assessing costs, preparing detailed estimates, and providing valuable insights to inform decision-making.
Collaborate with project stakeholders to understand project requirements, specifications, and timelines.
Conduct thorough analysis of project plans, drawings, and specifications to identify materials, labour, and other cost components.
Prepare accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for property development projects, including detailed breakdowns of labour, materials, subcontractor costs, and overheads.
Research market trends, material costs, and subcontractor rates to ensure estimates are competitive and reflective of current market conditions.
Work closely with procurement teams to obtain quotes, negotiate prices, and secure contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.
Provide ongoing support to project teams by monitoring costs, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and addressing any variations or discrepancies.
Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
Proven experience (minimum X years) as an Estimator within the property development sector, with a track record of successfully estimating costs for a variety of residential and commercial projects.
Proficiency in estimating software and tools (e.g., Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret complex project documents and specifications.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with project teams, clients, and subcontractors.
Knowledge of building regulations, construction methods, and industry standards relevant to property development.
